Appeals Policy
This policy applies to all South Farnham SCITT Initial Teacher Training Programmes. This policy outlines the procedure to follow if a trainee/apprentice wishes to appeal against decisions or grading made by SF SCITT. It does not cover the End-Point Assessment of an apprentice as this is conducted by a third party organisation. It is attached in full at the bottom of this page.
Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy
SF SCITT adopts the Trust policy – relevant sections to the SCITT and SCITT trainees are highlighted.
Additionally:
• All trainees have Child Protection, Safeguarding and Prevent training centrally in the first week of the programme
• All trainees have Safeguarding training in their employing/host/placement school
• All trainees obtain, read and understand copies of their employing/host/placement school’s
o Staff handbook
o Child Protection Policy
o Staff Behaviour Policy/Code of Conduct
o School’s Safeguarding Policy including Prevent
o Keeping Children Safe in Education
• Support Tutors verify at Autumn Induction visit that trainees have these on file and that they have been read and understood
