Teacher Degree Apprenticeship (TDA)

South Farnham SCITT is delighted to be working in partnership with the University of Brighton to deliver the Teacher Degree Apprenticeship.

South Farnham Educational Trust supports apprenticeship programmes and has played a leading role in the creation and development of the Teacher Degree Apprenticeship standard. SFET chairs the Teacher Degree Apprenticeship Trailblazer Group and has been working closely alongside colleagues at the Department for Education to design this undergraduate employment-based route.

Our new and innovative Undergraduate Teacher Degree Apprenticeships offer a distinctive route into teaching.

The apprenticeships are salaried, and offer a bachelor’s degree as well as Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). The two new routes starting in September 2025 are:

Information Events

The University of Brighton is running a series of online sessions where prospective applicants and employers can learn more about these new routes.   

Each online event runs for an hour and will share an overview of the course, provide advice and there will be plenty of time to have your questions answered.
